编辑蟾酥是蟾蜍皮肤分泌的白色浆液 ,分泌部位为耳后腺和皮肤上的疣状突起 (称皮肤腺 ) .目前中药材所用主要取自耳后腺的蟾酥 (《本草衍义》)
【异名】蟾蜍眉脂(《药性论》)，蟾蜍眉酥(《日华子本草》)，癞蛤蚂浆(《新疆药材》)，蛤蟆酥(《山东中药》)，蛤蟆浆(《中药材手册》)。
【来源】为蟾蜍科动物中华大蟾蜍或黑眶蟾蜍等的耳后腺及皮肤腺分泌的白色浆液，经加工干燥而成。
动物形态详蟾蜍条。
【采集】夏、秋季捕得蟾蜍后，将体表洗净，晾干，然后刺激其耳后腺及皮肤腺，使之分泌浆液。
