Kate Greenaway人物生平

Kate Greenaway(1846年3月17日—1901年11月6日）是英国维多利亚时代最有影响力的童书插画家。Kate Greenaway的画风优雅清新，设计的图书常以图文混排的形式使插画与文字默契搭配。她喜欢画可爱的孩子、母子亲情，人物形象甜美，透着乡村的浪漫气息。有无数孩子是在Kate Greenaway绘画的童书陪伴下长大，甚至成为着名的插画家，如擅长画小花仙的Cicely Mary Barker。1860年， Kate Greenaway和Walter Crane、Randolph Caldecott（1846-1886）等与当时着名的出版家Edmund Evans（1826-1905）合作出版彩色图画书。画家们的出色艺术才华改写了插画的历史，吸引公众关注插画艺术，推动插画艺术的发展[1]  .
1955年，英国图书馆协会(The Library Association)为了纪念Kate Greenaway在插画领域的贡献创办了“凯特·格林纳威奖”。现在，“凯特·格林纳威奖”成为世界插画界最重要的奖项之一。美国图书馆协会（ALA）为了纪念与同时代的着名插画家Randolph Caldecott于1938年创立了凯迪克金牌奖（Caldecott Medal）和银牌奖（Caldecott Honor）。
